Okay, you’ve completed Lesson 2 of Module 1, which is AWESOME in itself! And by doing so, you should now have a pretty good idea of what Summer Orgo Prep is all about, and how it’s put together. Each Module is made up of various Lessons. Each Lesson takes you through a specific set of concepts, and teaches you certain skills as to how to apply those concepts toward solving problems. Within each Lesson, I give explanations through text, videos, examples, and problems for you to work through. Ultimately, Summer Orgo Prep will help you approach your actual Orgo course in the right way, where you make the best use of concepts in order to SIMPLIFY Organic Chemistry.
But you’re not done; you’re just getting started! I say that because, in the Lesson you just completed, I presented things in a GENERAL way. That is, I talked about reaction mechanisms by using an analogy with “bug” evolution; those weren’t real mechanisms or reactions. But to master Organic Chemistry, you need to master ACTUAL reaction mechanisms. And to master those actual mechanisms, you first need to master ACTUAL concepts. That’s what we’re going to do throughout the rest of Summer Orgo Prep.
Specifically, in Modules 2 through 10, I’ll take you through key concepts that are REALLY important when it comes to learning and understanding Organic Chemistry. And along the way, I’ll help you develop a variety of skills to use toward solving problems. I’ll teach you the basics of working with actual mechanisms for Organic reactions, easing into things slowly, before ramping up the challenges. By doing so, you’ll see first-hand how it is that concepts you learn later will critically depend on concepts you learn earlier. You’ll see first-hand how spending your efforts on learning and understanding concepts and mechanisms will actually SIMPLIFY things.
So, what do you say…are you ready to get started? Are you read to enroll? Are you ready to conquer Orgo?
